The Drum Dial is a perfect tool for me in many situations but primarily when we’re playing large theaters and there’s a lot of noise around me I can still achieve an even tuning.
As the drummer for John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band I tune for a big open sound with little or no padding on my snare and Tom’s. To control over tones as you well know getting even tension on both the top and bottom heads is key. The Drum Dial helps zero me in and the results have been compliments from our sound man and production technicians across the country.
